Fuck spent last November in the adriatic sea port of ancona, Italy recording maybe the most beautiful album of their long career to be released this November 2003 on homesleep records. Recorded and produced by matteo agostinelli of yuppie flu in a tiny garage in fellow flu member Francesco Paolo Chielli’s back garden, you could be listening to one of the warmest, most achingly beautiful records of the year.

‘Those Are Not My Bongos’ is an album that suprises, confronts then captivates it’s listener with an array of styles and moods. It’s humerous, maddeningly addictive, inventive, nonchalant, sad and bittersweet.

Melencholy oboe and guitar, stripped back bare laments trip into full on crunching uplifting ascending garage riffs - they boogie then swing - they play spastic tunes and have perfect pop moments.

Fuck have made an album controlled, clear, relaxed, focused - lovely. If Fuck were not so determined from the very beginning to make life has hard for themselves as possible with the name they chose then who knows whether life could be/would have been easier/different for them???????

Formed in 1994 in San Francisco, Fuck self-released two records in 1996 on their own Rhesus Records label before beginning work with New York label Matador Records. Fuck made two records with Matador and did extensive touring in the U.S., Europe & Canada. In 2001 ‘Cupid's Cactus’, was released by Hoboken label Smells Like Records followed by a compilation of outtakes, entitled ‘Gold Bricks’ on Homesleep Records in Europe and Insound in the States. The new record "Those Are Not My Bongos" will be out on 24th November 2003 (Homesleep) and a European tour is planned for this November.
